{"id":102,"date":"2018-02-11T09:52:59","date_gmt":"2018-02-11T09:52:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/msmm.org.my\/web\/?p=102"},"modified":"2018-02-28T12:30:13","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T12:30:13","slug":"the-music-and-wellbeing-festival-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/msmm.org.my\/web\/2018\/02\/11\/the-music-and-wellbeing-festival-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting Our Event: The Music and Wellbeing Festival 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Music and Wellbeing Festival 2018<\/strong> is being organised for the very first time by the <strong>Malaysian Society for Music in Medicine (MSMM)<\/strong>, jointly with the <strong>International Music House (IMH) Kuching<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This festival is unique as it is a confluence of a gamut of practices in music, including sound and dance movements used for stress management, mental wellbeing, and healing. <strong>The Music and Wellbeing Festival<\/strong> which will take place from the <strong>11th to 12th March 2018<\/strong> will be held at the <strong>Sarawak Islamic Information Centre<\/strong> in <strong>Kuching, Sarawak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This festival aims to bring together educators, individuals who work with children and adults with special needs, medical practitioners, music enthusiasts, parents, academics and students who are interested in the field of music and wellbeing to meet, discuss, explore and experience how music can be used to restore and enrich one\u2019s wellbeing and quality of life on a whole.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Music and Wellbeing Festival 2018<\/strong> is sponsored by the <strong>Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB)<\/strong> and supported by the <strong>Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA)<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/music-and-wellbeing-festival-2018-tickets-43472231615?aff=eac2\" target=_blank><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 50%; Dr. Indra is the Founding President of the MMTA, and has been lecturing at University Putra Malaysia for the past 17 years teaching courses in music therapy, music psychology, music and child development and music therapy in senior adults\u2019 care.
